A Note from Our Principal
We hope your children enjoyed their fall lessons, pumpkin themed activities and classroom celebrations last month. Seeing our students parade in their Halloween costumes and fall attire is one of the highlights of the year for us. Thank you for allowing us to be part of these special occasions!
November brings us lessons in kindness, empathy, understanding and giving. Our students will continue to receive large and small group lessons, as well as one on one lessons designed to meet their individual needs and to challenge their abilities. Focusing on all areas including math, language, practical life, sensorial, cultural studies and handwriting, our students are provided a strong foundation in all areas and are encouraged to practice lessons independently for mastery.
This month we are focusing on gratitude and connecting with our community. As part of this focus we are busily preparing for our Holiday Giving campaign. This year we are collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for Rise, the local food pantry in Hightstown. Donations can be dropped off in the lobby area beginning November 1st through December 5th. We appreciate all donations and thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity.

Illness Policy Reminder
Our parents are vital partners in helping us to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the students in our school. The most important thing you can do to assist us in creating a healthy environment is to keep your child home if they are ill. This reduces the spread of illness and allows your child to fully recuperate. Children may not attend school until they have been symptom free for 24 hours if they display any of the following:
- Fever of 100 degrees of more—must be fever free for 24 hours with no fever-reducing medicine before returning to school
- Vomiting, diarrhea or stomach upset
- Heavy nasal discharge requiring wiping every 3-5 minutes
- Persistent, non-productive or barking cough
- Sore throat
- Skin rash, including diaper rash
- Head lice
- Symptoms of a communicable disease
- Fussy, cranky behavior unlike child’s normal demeanor that may indicate illness

Important Dates
- November 6th and 7th—School picture days. Schedules to be announced
- November 6th—Field trip to Public Library for all five full day students ages 4 and up and all afternoon kindergarten bridge students
- November 11th—School closed for Faculty Professional Development Day
- November 27th—No after care. School closes at 3:30pm
- November 28th and 29th —SCHOOL CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING
