June is an exciting month. We have students leaving for kindergarten and first grade, summer camp programs begin, and many families getting excited for vacations. Most of all we have enjoyed having all of our parent coming and going throughout the building. Thank you for your continued attention to safety and partnering with us throughout this year. It feels like our return to normalcy is just around the corner!
We know that summer is a busy time for our families and want to communicate school happenings as clearly as possible to ensure that no one is left out. As a reminder, daily reports are sent via email each day, but our Links 2 Home app keeps all school communications in one place and is always accessible. The app also allows to you communicate absences to your child’s teacher, leave drop-off notes, and read teacher and administrative notes in detail. If you’re not a current app user, we encourage you to visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the app today. You will need to login with the email address you use for Alma. Please let us know if you have issues logging into Links 2 Home!
Our students love spending time outdoors and we want to make sure we take ample advantage of the summer weather in all programs. Please make sure they have the following items in their cubby at all times:
• Labeled bottle of lotion sunscreen (toddler’s and up)
• Summer appropriate change of clothes
• Well labeled water bottle (Pre-Montessori and up)
With some staff moving on we look forward to introducing new staff throughout the summer. Please continue to watch your email for all upcoming summer details, and back to school. Attached you will find a few items of interest, including the 2021-2022 school year calendar.
Important dates:
• Last day of Primary Montessori classes: Wednesday, June 16th
• All School Closure/Professional Development: Thursday & Friday, June 17th & 18th
• First day of Summer Camp: Monday, June 21st
