Education: After earning a B.A. in Human Development and Family Sciences at Oregon State University, I went on to earn my Masters in Education degree at Southern Oregon University.
Experience: I have been a classroom teacher for over 20 years. My experiences are in both primary and secondary grades, as well as Special Education. I enjoy teaching children and working with Evergreen families!
Passions and Interests: I love working with children and helping them express themselves through art. I believe that all people can be creative when they allow themselves to explore art in a safe environment, free from judgement by peers and instructors. Art builds confidence in young people. Art opens the mind to different perspectives and different emotions. A good art education in the primary years includes elements of art, principles of design, art history, and art criticism. I look forward to working with your child this year.
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my children, husband, and cats. My interests include gardening, creating art, and being outside.
